The European Parliament points to the “unprecedented magnitude” of oligarchic groups in Malta which use government tools or criminal practices to benefit from the EU funds, with members of national governments and holders of political positions as part of the local oligarchy.

Now go vote PL or PN. Doesn’t even matter, this island fucked anyway.
If this is an issue with EU funds I don’t even want to know how bad it is with local funds, a.k.a money from taxing gambling companies and criminals buying passports.
Also please don’t forget to go amd celebrate like primitive apes tomorrow because „your“ party won.

Malta and Cyprus… I honestly don’t see what the EU benefits with them in the EU. They launder and process money for the criminals and sanction dodging countries, sell passports that gain EU entry and then take EU funds give the projects to family and friends.
Malta also tends to go against the EU narrative. I.E. passport selling, illegal hunting, media freedom, fraud and corruption etc.
What is the downside of the EU kicking Malta and Cyprus out?
Damn I knew there was something missing in the electoral manifestos and this post just enlightened me…
Citizenship by gambling must surely be the next logical step for this country. Imagine foreigners being able to buy tickets to participate in one big lottery where the main prize is a Maltese passport. Then perhaps the EU and goody-goody NGO’s will not be able to accuse us of favoring criminals because the lottery gives an equal chance to everyone!
And in case of no win other possible ‘consolation’ prices could include thousands of euros in tax rebates on local income or waived property taxes when buying local property.
Naraw x’gej.
This country is gone. I think the figures of young people actually leaving the island will not stop increasing anytime soon.
This island is terrible to live
