There were around 30 as yet unexplained sabotage attacks on telecommunications infrastructure in Sweden, mostly along the same major road, authorities in the country have revealed.

Nothing is stolen in the attacks on masts, but cables are cut and fuses and other technical equipment destroyed, Sweden’s national public broadcaster SVT Nyheter reported, citing investigators.

  2. “The E22 is also known as the European Road, and is part of a road transport network that stretches for more than 3,300 miles, connecting the U.K. in the west to Russia in the east.”

    “Unexplained”

    🇷🇺 🐖 🐖 🐖

  3. Unexplained, is where the hell my salary disappears after visiting store with warhammer miniatures. Mass act of unexplained sabotage in NATO countries is pretty much explainable. /s

  4. ‘Unexplained’, but I think everyone has a semblance of an idea when you think about it.

  5. Russians as always testing what they can, next will be large scale. Do something ffs

  6. It’s been suspected that these attacks aren’t meant to achieve any military objectives. Instead, they are most likely some form of veiled mob threats on NATO nations, something along the lines of “we will make your life difficult for not giving us what we want.”

The efforts also allow the adversary nation to study the responses of the target governments to these attacks and act accordingly.

Russia has defacto declared war on NATO. It’s best to act accordingly.

  7. We’re already at war, our leaders just don’t want to admit it. Russia is treating us that way and will continue to try and drag us into their downfall.

  8. “unexplained”
Yes totally unexplained, who could possibly imagine would do this to a nato member?

  9. Wakey wakeeyyyyy, the wolf is at the doooor.
Get the shotgun. Enough feeding it chicken and hoping it goes away.

  10. Unexplained is doing a lot of lifting in that statement, I suspect they have an idea of the cause but no hard evidence.

Just as a thought, is it feasible to mobilise military forces to protect critical infrastructure? Layman’s it sounds as an option you get protection, the military gets assets, training, experience yet I’m sure there are problems with it.

  11. Doesn’t really take a genius to work out , the country at war with the west. It’s just the west has woken up to the fact that they are actually at war as yet.

  12. Russia wants to destroy Europe! We don’t let that happen!

  13. We endlessly let Russia get away with sabotage, assassinations, blowing up passenger airplanes, invading countries etc etc etc. When is enough enough?

  14. It seems that war is already underway. It just hasn’t been declared yet and is pretty one-sided.

  15. As of March 2024 Sweden is a member of NATO not an ally of NATO.

  16. Oh gee, I wonder which bunch of toiletless terrorists might be doing this?

  17. Ffs. Why doesn’t Europe stand up to these cunts.

How many knife cuts do you need to realise you’re being bled.

Russia is a busted flush and we hold 3 aces and are scared.

Europe needs to grow the fuck up and stop getting arse-tipped

  18. Sabotage and terrorism in the west was Putin’s specialty, working in Dresden as KGB. Also, he was responsible for assassination of high profile person (I forgot his name). I recall he was a CEO of major German company and it was a car bomb. The documents were destroyed after the collapse of Soviet union, but when Putin became president, couple journalists investigated his work in Dresden, and found some German spies/witnesses who knew first hand the details about these terrorist attacks during 80ties. Putin planned them, he didn’t execute those attacks …

  19. People are very reluctant to realise that Russia is waging a subvert war with Europe

  20. I think we should just start doing the same against Russia. As a first measure, we should cut off Kaliningrad from all land based communications. Let them use expensive satellite connections.

Also we should make a law decriminalizing hacking attacks against Russian companies. Not specifically making it legal but using the same kind of language Russia uses (this is why much malware specifically checks if it’s a Russian IP, because Russian hackers don’t face criminal charges in Russia as long as they only hack foreigners).

  21. Cut Russia’s Internet access. As part of sanctions on the European side. And offer 50K rewards for volunteers cutting Internet connections or disabling rail traffic to Russia in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China, Iran, and Turkey. We can offer higher rewards than the Russians, and the Russians have a far more vulnerable infrastructure than we do.

Press Serbia hard to stop it being a big troll farm for Putin. Change criminal codes to make it possible to prosecute people doing this stuff for treason or terrorism.

  22. *”Unexplained”.*

Let’s not fuck around here. It’s not unexplained. It’s Russian.

Call it what it is. We all know who’s behind it.

  23. Man, i wonder which belligerent nation could be responsible for this?

  24. Everyone is blaming Russia and it could be just gypsies stealing some cable for the scrap money lol

  25. “unexplained” except we all know it was Russia

Because they are, incapable of being decent

  26. Ok, hear me out. I think, and I’m just throwing out a wild guess here, but it was maybe probably Russia.

  27. The entire western world is actively at war with Russia. It was a disinformation war (one sided of course) and now Russians are attacking European infrastructure. America is politically compromised, and Russians skitter like cockroaches across the European continent, inflicting as much damage as possible. Weve been taking it in the ASS for like 20 fucking years now.

  28. Russia is a terrorist organization and needs to be treated as such

  29. Russia is getting ready for all out war with the EU.

  30. It’s bad journalism to call that unexplained. But then again Newsweek isn’t real journalism.
