The Mid-Atlantic Air Museum’s 34th World War II Weekend kicked off with a convoy of military vehicles and reenactors in downtown Reading on Friday.
The parade in the 500 block of Penn Street featured historic World War II vehicles, reenactment troops in period uniforms and live music by the Snack Club Quartet.
The event offered a small preview of the scheduled weekend activities at Reading Regional Airport in Bern Township, including air shows, vehicle displays, vendors and music and entertainment.
The show runs through 10 p.m. tonight, and continues Saturday and Sunday, with gates opening at 8:30 a.m. both days. The show closes at 10 p.m. Saturday and at 5 p.m. Sunday. For show and ticket information, go to maam.org/wwii.
