1.25 percentage points……or 10% in most real people’s world.
Hard to trust him, especially when it comes to claims about providing funds to the NHS after his big red bus of lies.
As if any of it is going to go to the NHS. It’s purely to cover up their fuck ups and all the money they lost.
Yet people still defend
How about a windfall tax on the profits of oil companies? Or increase tax on sale second and third homes? But no. Make it so people have even less money at a time when *everything* is going up in price.
Tory’s gonna Tory.
I’m not normally one to defend the tories, but they are raising the threshold in July by about £3,000.
Once that kicks in most people will be paying less national insurance than they did last year, and the biggest winners are some of the poorest workers.
Who would have thought that screaming for healthy under 50’s to be paid to sit at home, shutting down the economy, and squandering billions on free testing and asinine covid measures would come home to roost??
This shouldn’t be happening because brexit was meant to give the NHS £350m a week, but Labour is too cowardly to call-out the Tories on this for fear of upsetting working class brexit voters.
Yes people might not like what they hear but if you sow the seed there’s a chance it might germinate and start turning people against the Tories and brexit.
After the threshold goes up in July I really don’t get the big deal on an individual level, for small businesses it is a bit worse sure.
I’m on a semi decent wage and I’ll be paying less NI than before.
Sure it would be better if matched with higher taxes on oil companies etc, but by itself it’s not really anything.
And as usual he and rishi haven’t been entirely honest about the rates and they are hitting the self employed hardest as usual.
Of course he would. He doesn’t give a shit as long as he gets a backhander and his pals are happy. There’s so many other ways to raise funds for the NHS and social care but this is the laziest way he can think of and it keeps us lower class vermin in our places. Why, we should thank him for having a chance to see more of our fucking pay get deducted for NI. Fucking bastards!
For what MPs claim per year, that could easily be used to inject cash into the NHS. The fuckers have the nerve to claim for energy bills despite them turning a blind eye to it. What’s next? a NHS tax that sees 10% of everyone’s wages go towards the NHS?
