I just read this book that takes place in 2033. It’s about Russia invading Estonia but in an incredibly smart way that seems extremely possible in real life. I am genuinely paranoid this is going to happen after reading this book. Like how could Russia not do this if they wanted to? It’s called Atlantic resolve the war for Estonia. Has anyone heard of or read it? If so please put my nerves at ease

Now open up, tldr to us who have not read that book.
Others have said Lithuania, but really the Baltics seem obvious for being individually small etc.
Lithuania is my guess if I had to pick one because it would cut off all land access between the other two and Europe, making them easier to conquer later, and further seal the Union State deal, effectively also making Belarus part of the new empire more than it is now and expanding I contiguous area from Ukraine right up to the north, step by step.
If we’re hand waving an outright victory in Ukraine, they could stay to that bit of the world and take Moldova, and so on consolidating by invasion when political fuckery and treaties don’t bring former Soviet states into alignment with his vision of the greater Russia.
Obviously, all just a guess at this time and conditions are going to change.
Outright invading a NATO member seems to be a no go
Paranoia is dangerous. Get help.
