4. Unfortunately, no. They got the number of 1 mil. through multiplying 250K killed by a factor of 4. The claim is that the number of “severely wounded to the killed one is four to one”. Well, ‘severely wounded” is ill defined, but, generally, the number of those medically discharged to the killed is 1.7-2.0 in this war, according to some study by [meduza.io](http://meduza.io)

   So, 500K is probably a more reasonable estimate. Rest of the wounded return to the ranks.

12. The casualties no longer matter to putin. People from various countries are being recruited to fight. Putin will have endless amount of bodies for his war.
