Why is “the right” so hell bent on destroying everything good about GB?
It’s a great way for a friend of theirs to make some money and to make the service worse by refusing to invest in it properly. It has nothing to do with competition or levelling up, it is all about making money from public assets.

It’s as if the government has given up even trying to pretend they are doing what the British public wants. There has been a massive backlash to this. No one understands why this needs to happen. Channel 4 doesn’t need to complete with Netflix and its massive debt. Channel 4 is for the British public and it has been a success. It’s a Sin led the way with 11 BAFTA TV nominations just 5 days ago. Why do the Tories feel the need to mess up a British success story?

Netflix and other streaming services are often shady about their viewing figures and in general, their shows aren’t watched in the UK anywhere near as much as it first appears.
We’re at the stage now where any organisation critical of the Conservatives will be silenced id they have the power to do it.
C4 was critical of the government and it gets sold. The BBC won’t act as the Conservatives propaganda machine and the licence gets threatened, and a pro-Boris nominee to chair Ofcom being pushed for the job.
The same way that they want to clip the wings of the Electoral Commission, and the Office for Budget Responsibility, and the Supreme Court, all of whom have been critical of the goverments actions and highlighted their errors or unlawful actions
Good way to ensure C4 keeps making Bake Off and Grand Designs but with less of those pesky documentaries and news that makes the gov look bad
If someone can form a DAO, then we can all chip in and buy it for public ownership.

The Right Wingers after whining about SJWs have finally made their counter weapon, Culture Jihadis that they use their systemic power and money to force into positions of authority so they can essentially suicide bomb the thing they see as a threat.
This is headed by an MP who used her position as MP to chase being a celebrity in ways that impacted her ability to do her job. She has no moral or intellectual merits but has this job due to being willing to sacrifice herself with loyalty to power regardless of how corrupt.
Nadine is a Culture Jihadi, the destruction of the BBC and C4 is her backpack and vest. She’ll proclaim victory and shout Tory is great as she leaves a huge hole in the country while she destroys our heritage.
The plan to sell it off so cheap it is almost giving it away undermines any narrative of needing to find revenue as it will be sold for a fraction of the cost of Rishi’s Covid fraud and somehow manages to make Rishi’s sale of our bank shares for half of what we paid, losing around £1.2Bn doing it recently, seem less irresponsible. The Tories are so bad at finance that they’re literally unable to sell the entire country at a price to match the costs of their own incompetence.
Tories yet again prove how Anti British they are by breaking and selling anything great about Britain. They wave the Union flag as nothing but a magician’s handkerchief to distract the eye. Like a handkerchief they wipe their nose with the flag and do not respect it.

These people are not (necessarily) stupid or making mistakes, they *don’t give a shit about being truthful or genuine* and it’s all a grift to further themselves.
They know that noone will hold them accountable so they will happily speak out of both/all sides of their faces depending on the topic, the audience and the desired result. Amazing how these alleged public ‘consultations’ on issues that the public patently don’t want, always result in actions wanted by the Gov’t.
….. How about a very public consultation on their pay and conditions, expenses, second homes and ability to earn more as part time directors on boards or how ‘ misleading’ the house or behaving in an unprofessional manner isn’t an immediate sackable offence.

There was a GB news advert on LBC today. As is LBC isn’t corporate enough. It sounded like some moron had recorded it on their iphone in a garage. “It’s GB news not PC news”. The American/Russian propaganda is on it’s way. It’ll take longer here as we generally don’t give a fuck but it will come. Fascism will arrive via the airwaves man, and you can’t turn off and drop out anymore because it’ll come anyway man.
