Devastating news for the company director in their Ford Rangers company car.
The fact that these wankpanzers are allowed to get bigger and more dangerous with every passing year is a total regulatory failure.
I would vote for this.
This needs to become a real policy asap.
100% the correct move. These machines are for semi-off-road farm work — _they are not_ for the urban school/supermarket run.
Just look at that Defender that accidentally ended up ploughing into a nursery; over a high curb and **through** a fence. My Mini Cooper would’ve at least turned course had I hit the curb like that.
Call me petty, but nothing irritates me more than a spotless Range Rover.
100% agree. Big cars taking spaces with usually terrible drivers are not a good thing.
While they’re at it add a noise tax for loud motorcycles.
And just to prove I’m not anti vehicle lift the 20mph cap to 25mph.
yep. make them pay lorry levels of congestion charge/ulez too.
The arguments about needing the space hold absolutely no weight when the majority of car journeys are made by single occupants.
Yes please – the amount of complete doughnuts I see round me who are struggling to manoeuvre or park in small residential streets just because Tarquin and Isabella need to be driven to school (2 blocks away)
Half the owners clearly aren’t even confident driving the things – you can see if the minute they have to navigate a residential street or any sort of minor obstacle. I could get the popcorn out watching some of them try to park.
