  1. No they didn’t they knew the whole time they want more cuts.

  2. They better read it because they are gonna pay for it at the ballot box.

  3. Who wrote the bill? Why doesn’t the author read the thing out loud to the house and senate? How are the provisions in the bill going to be executed if no one has any idea what is in the bill? This is so wrong.

  4. More fake MAGAt “regret”. The whole purpose of the GOP and this administration is revenge, retribution, and to hurt people, unless they donated millions.

  5. This is theatre so that when the calamity of this Bill is realized by the American people, they can point backwards and say “I was opposed to this! Don’t blame me!” After they all voted yes to pass it.

Otherwise they would never publicly oppose Trump like this.

  6. It kills me how no one reads these bills when ITS THEIR FUCKING JOB!!

  7. To all these GOP Senators: STFU. You’ve done this before (particularly Susan Collins). You hem and haw, you wring your hands, you shake your heads and tisk tisk. You show great consternation, and then…you vote for the bill. I guess you need to put up an elaborate show for your constituents when you have but one constituent—Donald F’ing Trump. So just end the side show, vote for the damn bill and take your chances with the voters. There’s a good chance you’ll still win.

  8. Reading is knowing. That’s why every senator gets a hard copy.

  9. This is just theatre. Susan Collins will vote for this in a heart beat. As always, she just wants it to appear that she is fighting for her constituents…….and not actively fucking them over……..like she always actually does.

  10. And they’ll feel very concerned when they vote for it anyway.

  11. They’ll pass it anyway.

This is just a puff piece so they can stand there wringing their hands saying “we had no choice, we had to pass it, but we don’t like it.”

Well, you passed it. So, you liked it enough to pass it.

Go on and head down the road until you’ve fucked all the way off.

  12. Why hasn’t the full bill been posted ti all of the public to read before its voted on? Shouldn’t every bill do that? Voters would be able to easily identify what their representatives vote for and if they’re harming or helping them.

There is no transparency, no fact checking, no accountability. The public has only to go on what trump ( the world’s biggest liar) tells them because nobody pushes back to trumps face publicly.

  13. Fuck these clowns. You idiots have staff members who can read through the bill and highlight it for you, in crayon (with drawings) since it’s apparent that many of you do not possess reading comprehension.

  14. This type of thing is going to happen when a political party’s default position is to flat out lie about policy goals.

  15. ‘Oh wow got found out, sorry.

    Nothing to do with me.’

  16. The Republicans will talk about all the problems with this bill but when push comes to shove they will pass it. They want to sound like they are concerned about their constituents but they are more afraid of Trump and loosing his support. They want to keep their jobs instead of doing what is right for US. I also don’t see many complaints about the large tax cuts for the rich and larger payment for the poor.

  18. “And Sen. John Curtis of Utah broke it down plainly: “We’re going to spend in the next 10 years about $20 trillion more than the revenue we bring in, and they’re cutting $1.5 trillion out of $20 trillion. Most of us wouldn’t do that in our businesses… that’s a big concern to me.”

“Most of us” aren’t DJT. We know exactly the kind of person who would do that in their businesses, because it’s HIS business model. The money spent went into his pockets, and the businesses were left on the wayside to rot.

There’s no difference here. Trump grifts whole America suffers.

  19. It will be like MTG in the House – proud to have voted for a bill that she would have voted against if she’d known what was in it.

  20. By “buried” they mean ‘written’, right? In writing that can be deciphered by ‘reading’?

  21. This seems to be performative; senators from NC and Idaho, states that get more federal funding than they put in, are complaining about funding states like NY and CA that put more into the federal coffers than they receive.

It’s true, however, that a higher SALT cap would disproportionately benefit those who make more money. It’s disingenuous, though, to say that getting less money from states that ostensibly fund your state is the same as funding other states’ “bad decisions”.
