BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. – It has been seven years since Beale Air Force Base has hosted an airshow.

This weekend’s event showcases an impressive lineup of military and civilian performers, including the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, renowned aerobatic pilot Vicky Benzing and international performer Aaron Deliu.

In addition to the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and other aerial performances, exhibits will offer families a way to see cutting-edge aircraft, can in interactive STEM exhibits, and also displays that highlight Beale’s legagy of reconnaissance.

One big feature of the weekend is the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the new Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA).

Gates at Wheatland, Schneider and Doolittle are open for inbound airshow traffic from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. At that point the gates become exits only. Anyone needing access to the main base or housing areas should use the Vassar Lake Gate. Those who live on base need to park at the Commissary and Base Exchange lot and take a shuttle to the entrance of the airshow.

All visitors who are 18 and older must had a valid federal or state-issued REAL ID but a temporary paper confirmation printout for a read ID is acceptable. Visitors are warned to keep their IDs accessible at all times, as they warned that random ID checks may occur throughout the event.

Entrance to the Air & Space Expo is free, but you need to obtain the complimentary parking pass at this link. There are no passes available on the day of the event, so those who want to attend on Sunday should reserve their parking on Saturday.

There are special packages that include special parking and other amenities, but many have already sold out for the weekend.
