Taxpayers to foot bill for Labour’s final mass rallies

  1. Immediately comes up with a pop up asking you to support independent journalism. Meanwhile using obviously extremely biased opinons throughout the “article” such as “deliberately planned” “In an attempt to make the machinations less obvious” “Also, Festivals Malta is still supposedly ‘evaluating’”

“returned to power” seriously could you more sheerly show that you consider the government “in power” like royalty? and its the PNs god given right to be in power, just like the reigning class used to be in medieval times?

Does no one know what decent journalism looks like?
“All four ‘Muzika, Muzika’ contractors are the same companies responsible for Labour’s events at the MFCC” – did you investigate how many large scale contractors exist on the island the size of a dot for these kinds of events. Within the same breath as saying a lot of work had to be imported – because it doesnt here, and also saying its going to be shared – because were so small there arent any other large scale events happening at the same time.

I’m not going to claim if it’s true or not. But the fact that we can debate that without the use of “allegedly” once throughout the article is as clear cut opinion- not journalism – as it gets.

Can anyone name 1 article by the shift news which is happy for anything PL has done? Can they honestly say they’re not in favour of free childcare, or being at the top of pro-LGBT laws in Europe for 7 years running, or the recent legalisation of cannabis out of many things? If it’s not impartial – at least in the slightest, it’s not journalism. You lose all respect when you can’t hide your bias. If you want anyone to take shit news seriously, they have to take their job seriously first.

  2. The fact that they used the same staging as the Malta Eurovision particularly annoyed me. The implication is that the government planned and set up the venue for that event (with taxpayers’ money) knowing that they would later use it again for their own party’s rally.

    Imma hawnhekk kollox jgħaddi.
