New York’s citizens got offered lottery tickets, Washington had Joints for Jabs, Australia had a Millon Dollar Vax lottery and other freebies, and they got a festival.
I don’t want to say I’m salty about how being conscientious didn’t get me any free stuff, but I’m salty about how being conscientious didn’t get me any free stuff.
Even though this is a rushed vaccine, it would have been cheaper to pay each person a £100 to get it, than waste the money on organised idiocy and fraud.

The 435 seems to be the number of people who were vaccinated at the event. What it can’t take into account is others who may have seen the publicity it generated getting vaccinated elsewhere.
Figures like that do need to be worked on, but they need to be understood when interpreted in isolation like they are here.
“The four-day Summer Festival at Langdon Park cost Tower Hamlets Council £237,000 to put on, the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) reported.”
With the amount of money governments spaff up the wall, I’m pretty chuffed the people had a nice festival, threw some vaccines in peoples arms and had some community building. MORE OF THIS!!
