The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, is calling students, that are blocking universities and fighting for a government without corruption for the past 7 months, nazis.
The reason why the protests exist is because a railway station canopy in Novi Sad collapsed due to bad construction caused by the money laundering and corruption, and killed 16 people, and 7 months later no one is still sentenced or suspected. Since then the students in Serbia riled up to fight this corrupt government lead by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS).
Context of the linked clip is: There is a “non-organized” group of “students” that want to finish their studies, that have a camp in a park next to the National Parliament and are protesting the blockades, calling themself’s Students 2.0, but people call them “Ćaci” (Ћаци) (an illiterate way of writing a word “Ðaci” (Ђаци), synonym with the word student). The kid in the video is the leader of that group, and two nights ago someone threw a water bottle at him, and then he staged a whole scene in the hospital, saying that the students that want to learn, Ćaci, are in the same positions as jews in the Nazi Germany. In the video, the president of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, affirms that claim, saying “Bolje Ćaci, nego Nazi” which quite literally translates to “Better a Ćaci, then a Nazi”. The claim that the president of Serbia is presenting here is absolutely absurd, and now it’s a chanting that his followers use, or as he calls them “his people”.
After that, 22 students have been arrested for the “attack” on the leader of Ćaci (trowing of a water bottle might I remind you), while the people behind 16 deaths at the railway station are forgotten and free to move this corrupt land.
P.S. The leader of Ćaci is perfectly fine, he was spotted at a club last night.
