A federal Europe – What are you talking about?
⏰ **Tuesday, Nov 9 at 7:00 p.m. CET**
📍 Zoom – register here: [https://linktr.ee/meeteu](https://linktr.ee/meeteu)
There is a lot of talk about a federal Europe – a United States of Europe. But what precisely is that? And why might we want more or less of it? In this event we want to explore different national perspectives and look for an overlap. We invite you to participate!
A German man talking about a united Europe. Classic. Tale as old as time.
Ah the classic German “don’t worry, this isn’t another Reich”
^^^but ^^^it ^^^is.
If the EU were to take over responsibility for provision of public services and social protection, ensuring equitable access and supports across the bloc I’d be in favour of a federal EU. But I doubt thats what its proponents are pushing for.
We should have left this … enterprise back in 2015…At least the Russians and Americans have nukes now so it will not last 5years…
So .. exit EU while you can.
here’s a question that really should be asked to the MeetEU Team
How would the logistical nightmares created from a United Europe be resolved and how would the U.S.E reassure 3rd countries like for example the UK that the U.S.E will not try to interfere in other country’s affairs
I’d like a similar provision for military deployment as the triple lock Ireland employs – the EU Army may not deploy outside of EU territory except when approved by:
* The EU Commission
* The EU Parliament, AND
* The UN
Yes, I’m aware that the USA, the UK, Russia and China each have their own veto in the UN.
EDIT: spelling
Current Europe have about 230 languages,
But 2200 years ago, the Empire Qin had unify China
