South Korean turns BTSLand ahead of reunion
From fan-organised tributes to full-blown city-wide celebrations, we are getting closer to the OT7 comeback. With RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook all set to be discharged soon, South Korea is decking itself out as if it’s prepping for royalty. And honestly, it kind of is.
Across Seoul, massive banners are fluttering in the wind, declaring things like “Golden Return Jungkook”, “Jimin Is Back”, and “Namjoon-ah, congratulations on your discharge! Don’t worry, we’re already each other’s will 💙.” There are even balloon banners so artfully arranged for the leader RM.
Hybe HQ, the holy grounds for ARMY, is now practically a shrine, with the iconic BTS logo proudly displayed in front and fans flocking for photo ops. From subway stations to city buses, familiar faces are popping up everywhere. One bus, covered in images of Kim Taehyung, reads, “Welcome Back Our Brightest Star”, and honestly, the traffic has never looked better.
The 2025 Festa theme is “Twelve O’Clock”, inspired by BTS’s comforting song 00:00 (Zero O’Clock), which stands for new beginnings. The month-long celebration started on May 31 with a fun video called “[2025 FESTA] BTS News”.
BigHit Music has planned a two-day offline event on June 13 and 14 at the KINTEX 2 Exhibition Centre in South Korea. Fans are even more excited because RM and V will be discharged from the military on June 10, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on June 11, and Suga on June 21. This year’s Festa not only honours BTS’s past but also kicks off a brand-new chapter with all seven members together again.
