ERT has confirmed that they will not be participating in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Greece will not be returning to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this December. The Greek broadcaster confirmed to Eurovision Fun that they will not be returning to the contest for the first time since 2008.
Greece participated in the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, where their entry “Fili gia panta” by Nicolas Ganopoulos had the honour of being the very first entry performed at Junior Eurovision. Greece continued to participate every year up until 2008.
Junior Eurovision 2025
Junior Eurovision 2025 will be held on December 13 in Tbilisi after Andria Putkaradze gave Georgia their record-breaking fourth victory with “To My Mom”.

In addition, Lithuania is examining their return to the competition in 2025. Estonia and Germany have both withdrawn from the competition. The following broadcasters have confirmed they have no plans to return:

Greece participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest from 2003 to 2008. Their best result came in 2005 when Alexandros & Kalli performed “Tora einai i seira mas” in Belgium finishing 6th with 88 points. In 2007 Greece would finish last scoring just 14 points. Greece last broadcast the contest in 2013.
