~~I know itsme, it’s a good app to connect yourself to various official services, such as the bank, phone provider, government applications, and the now abolished CST.~~
~~At least, if you were able to get itsme to run at least.~~
~~So what are some of the main places and sites where you use itsme frequently?~~
Edit: I’m an idiot: https://www.itsme.be/nl/partners?utm_source=itsme&utm_medium=app&utm_campaign=partners-button

– Entering my stock app on laptop (Bolero)
– Signing bank transfers larger than my usual limit
– Entering government websites
Those three come to mind.
Bank and government mostly. And Cozo to access all your medical files.
Nothing since it’s not supported on Linux unlike the actual eID reader and the 2FA authentication that is often offered as an alternative.
Nothing, because banks have no business storing my governmental credentials.
It’s pretty much available anywhere they are allowed to hook into the national id system.
Bank, huisarts, cleaners, taxes, ISP… even my recycling station uses it.
Comparing with other countries it is actually relatively well functioning and from what I heard they have some rather strict data access requirements for those hooking into the system.
Having lived for a bit in the UK my hope is to never have to prove identity with my electric bill ever again.
Can’t use it on a rooted phone..
Everything where it’s available. Goodbye broken eID browser integrations !
I lost my code and sometimes it requires it instead of the regular finger print. Hate that.
I don’t use Itsme or the e-ID. I set up a 2FA-enabled alternative login on the CSAM website. The 2FA secret I put in KeePass together with the username and password, so I don’t even need a smartphone to generate the second factor (TOTP).

You do need to use your e-ID and card reader (or itsme) to enable this setup the first time though. And you may have to disable certain content blockers on the CSAM website, otherwise you can’t enter the TOTP because you haven’t clicked on some cookie nag screen that gets hidden by the content blocker.
Everyday, I’m working for the State:-)
Nothing, why should i.
I think it’s very convenient but it crashes every second use…
It’s handy when abroad and I need to confirm a payment and don’t the digi pass with me.
Anything that allows its use. It’s sooo much easier.
People should know that when you upgrade to android 7.1 Itsme will stop working.
I can’t get it to work so no clue
Signing in to ACV
Singing in to VDAB
Signing in the government stuff
Way better than the shitty card reader that only works 14% of the time.
Nothing. I’m not storing entry to my ID *and* my bank on one app on my phone.
