ZAGREB, 9 June 2025 – Zagreb Airport has officially reopened for all traffic from 00:51 this morning, following the successful removal of a private aircraft that had skidded off the runway on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred on 8 June at 15:21 local time, when a Cessna 525 operated by Air Panonia (registration 9A-JIM) veered onto a grassy area at the edge of the runway during landing.

The flight was confirmed to be empty at the time, and there were no injuries reported.

As a precautionary measure and in line with safety protocols, the airport was temporarily closed to all traffic to facilitate the removal of the aircraft.

The process was completed overnight, allowing normal operations to resume in the early hours of Monday morning.

Passengers are advised to contact their airlines directly for the latest information regarding specific flights.

Zagreb Airport issued an apology for the inconvenience caused, thanking passengers for their patience and cooperation during the temporary closure.
