  1. Sounds like something that only matters if NATO AWACS are directly feeding data to F16s for situational awareness and targeting. What good will this really do?

  2. Ukrainian jets (F16s, Mirage 2000, etc) are finally getting Link-16 support. Combined with the arrival of SAAB 340 AWACS this month, this could be a huge upgrade to Ukrainian air power. It looks like Russia may be running out of their own equivalent AWACS, which could make this a big deal. Link-16 allows for all kinds of neat things like sharing radar contacts peer-to-peer between jets, or between AWACS and jets. It can also allow radar guided A/A missiles to acquire a lock without a direct radar contact from the firing jet.

  3. This might have contributed to the SU-35 getting downed?

  4. Just make sure the Pentagon, and therefore Trump, can’t get access to the data. Otherwise I support it.
