Absolutely pointless. It’s not like Netanyahoo will be like “A few folk in Ireland didn’t even walk a marathon, let’s withdraw from Gaza”. Suppose it got them out of the house for a a few hours exercise and something to post on the socials.
Such protests, in general, rarely provoke change on local issues, never mind a major international crisis where government pressure is futile, unless it was to come from the Yanks withdrawing support.

Regardless of my own views or anyone else’s views on Palestine / Israel and the sentiments surrounding it here in NI, a peaceful anti-war protest is always a welcome sight. Fair play.

Oh fuck off, you can’t be that dumb. Its to show your countries leaders what you want, in this case fuck off Israel, and that you want them to act on it.
If you are that demented that you cant understand what a protest/demonstration is you need to go and check out a new helmet for your everyday life.
When they have like “march for the environment” its not like people think ‘oh me walking here will solve it’ but rather ‘I show my support for this cause and bring attention to it so we can hopefully change it’ but what I’ve read here is a bunch of… whatever they are. Gloop heads? Idk

It looked really impressive, fair play to everyone who organised and it was all the more impressive seeing the extremely small minority of hate-filled counter protestors who turned up too.
No matter what anyone says, raising awareness is never a bad or pointless thing to do.

Lots of interesting comments, but perhaps it’s interesting to not that no one blames the real culprits because every death can be laid squarely on the shoulders of Hamas and their fellow travellers .
The terrorists knew full well what would happen after October 7th hence the indiscriminate butchery, rapes, and kidnapping (and still holding) off the hostages.
Hamas are quite happy to fight till Gaza is totally destroyed and the people starve.
They are well protected in the “Gaza Metro” with stockpiles of weapons, water and food, every now and then pop up from their system in some hospital or mosque, fire/booby trap a building then pop down and wait for the inevitable airstrike!
If they had released their hostages a year ago, who knows the countless lives that might have been saved, but that wouldn’t be any propaganda value!
