  1. Meet Loki, a 9 year old Staffie who came to us recently from the pound. He had been found as a stray, and was chipped, but when the registered owner was contacted, he had no interest in taking him back.

So at 9 years of age, this poor boy is now waiting at our shelter for a loving home. He is an absolute sweetheart of a dog who just wants to be with people all the time. He loves his cuddles and belly rubs, and loves his walks. He is very good on the lead, too, and does not react to other dogs.

As he does not like being on his own, he would love a home where there is someone home for a good bit of the day. We would prefer a home without young children, and we have no idea what he is like with cats. As he is a restricted breed, please be aware that a muzzle is required in public places, and he cannot be walked by anyone under the age of 16 years who is not accompanied by an adult.

Also, anyone in a rented property who might be interested must be aware that we will require written permission from the letting agency/landlord/landlady before we would consider rehoming to you. Loki is neutered, vaccinated, and chipped (chip number 956000008553659, origin Ireland). If you are interested in offering Loki a home, please complete and return the expression of interest form that you’ll find in the following link
