This proposal, set to be delivered through Oman, comes in response to what Tehran describes as an “unacceptable” American offer. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei emphasized that the U.S. proposal does not reflect the outcomes of previous negotiations and lacks the necessary give-and-take for a bilateral agreement .

    Baghaei reiterated Iran’s right to uranium enrichment, warning of potential retaliatory steps if the West continues what Tehran perceives as politicized pressure tactics. He also criticized the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for allegedly yielding to political pressure from the U.S. and European countries, accusing the agency of drafting a report that was then exploited to push for a resolution against Iran. Baghaei affirmed that Iran’s nuclear program is entirely peaceful and non-negotiable, citing Article 4 of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, which recognizes the right of all signatory countries to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
