They Abolished taxes on electric cars + no road tax + low electricity prices and raised taxes on traditional vehicles.
25% + taxes that is not paid when buying an EV makes a huge difference.
The seem however to regret that decision at least a bit as now they are considering to start taxing luxury EV’s again.
The country with the highest exports of oil per capita in the world is keen on electric cars. They finance their transition away from hydrocarbon… by selling hydrocarbons to the world.
Nice for them, but hard to replicate by others.
