  1. It didn’t mention in the article but in previous articles regarding other outbreaks they have mentioned that its people refusing to get vaccinated on religious grounds. Isn’t it about time we remove religious exemption for vaccines?

  2. There is a problem in both America and Canada with trusting public health officials regarding the efficacy and safety of vaccines and we need to address that first. Restore trust. Much of that was lost during COVID due to political misinformation campaigns that were exasperated by foreign influence.

  3. Religious freedom shouldn’t allow you to be a threat to public health.

  4. >once a person is pregnant…unvaccinated pregnant people…

    FFS.

  5. If the babies somehow survive and aren’t horribly crippled in some way as a result, I wish them all kinds of luck. They’re going to need it after losing the birth lottery so badly.

  6. Imagine your baby dies in 2025 because you didn’t get a measles vaccine? This is disgusting.

  7. We had a family friend. The mother had gotten measles when she was pregnant (this was before the vaccine.) The child from that pregnancy was severely mentally disabled. Maybe like a four or five year old mentally as an adult.

  8. Since when did ppl stop wanting to give their kids then best start in life?

  9. Being unvaccinated should be treated the same as drinking and driving, this is starting to get pretty ridiculous…too many stupid people ruining life for the rest of us.

  10. In the US, women are apparently declined medical treatment unless they complete a pregnancy test.

Regardless if the reason for visit have anything to do with pregnancy or the woman’s fertility/medical history, it’s still required.

I’m not saying I agree with this policy but if this is being enforced then why not require vaccinations in order to get treatments too?

  11. They brought it upon themselves. Hopefully the infants make it.

Antivaxers are proving Darwin’s law of survival of the fittest.

  12. Social media knows no bounds and the influencers are listened by a lot of people.

  13. They should be charged. If you can charge a mother for a miscarriage for fucks sake, you can charge them for purposely putting their lives in harms way. Said another way, it’s the equivalent of not buckling in their car seat because you don’t believe in seat belts.

  14. It’s not mentioned in this article, but the outbreak is heavy amongst the Mennonite community in southwestern Ontario. Hence, the low vaccination rates. The MMR vaccine and many others are mandatory for kids attending public schools in Ontario. I think that’s why it’s spreading in communities like these ones and not in city centres.

  15. Well I’ll be damned! It’s almost like these “DOCTOR” folks might know what they’re talking about!🤔
