  1. This was made possible by their transit via third countries, mainly Turkey. For example, in 2023, the manufacturer Tornos, based in Moutier, delivered two machines to a Turkish importer, which was only a shell company. The machines were quickly shipped to Russia.

  2. And all my Swiss colleagues and friends want to stay “neutral” and not help any side.

    I would have really liked if Switzerland was helping Ukraine, but this is just pure stupidity.

    The company is just trying to cover their ass-essment. No guilt felt from their side, but we all know they knew what they were doing.

    I love it that SRF is uncovering that stuff pretty well. They are some of the least biased media in Switzerland.

  4. Nearly the whole Europe (with a couple of small exceptions) is doing this. Indirectly with LPG or directly with the export over 3rd countries. Robin Brooks was trying to get some attention, showing the European export volumes to Kyrgyzstan and similar countries. With no success for some very mysterious reason.

  10. I am disappointed and angered by the Swiss approach to publicly saying that they are neutral yet privately supporting Russia invade Ukraine.

    Neutrality is really piss weak and it may have been acceptable during the 1930s and 1940s in Suisse people getting rich from supporting Nazis through banking and thefts but it doesn’t cut it now.

    Ukraine have a right to their sovereignty and your leaders are not making decisions based on reality.

    Do you support war crimes, children being kidnapped and the killing of innocent civilians and the destruction of ancient cities?

    How would Suisse people feel if their territory was being ravaged and its neighbours stayed neutral?

    They can’t claim to be neutral and then side with the enemy, it’s one or the other.

    there’s a reason switzerland is neutral. it’s been agreed as such by all parties involved throughout recent history, in order for them to be able to move their money, keep their fortunes and so on. that’s why it’s been allowed to remain neutral. it’s how all criminals, dictators and such move their wealth about.

    Neutrality means that you do not want to promise anyone that you will support them and won’t support their enemies, because you want to act pragmatically, depending on the situation.

    Neutral countries cannot be trusted and we shall not help them obtain or develop dual use technology.
