Yuri Shuleiko emphasized that the governor’s visit is an important step to strengthen ties between the brotherly nations of Belarus and Russia. “Focus on our joint projects and readiness for dialogue is the foundation on which we build the future,” he noted.
The vice premier pointed out that Belarus has sufficient resources to meet Kaliningrad Oblast’s needs for modern freight and passenger vehicles, road construction and utility machinery and equipment. “The participation of Belarusian manufacturers in import substitution programs and localization of production in automotive engineering to supply essential components could become promising areas of industrial cooperation [between Belarus and Kaliningrad Oblast,” Yuri Shuleiko stated.
“Industrial horticulture is another area in which we are willing to continue cooperation with your farmers. Belarusian seedlings have already been the foundation for several orchards in the region,” Yuri Shuleiko concluded.
