Russia, Ukraine accuse each other of delaying POW swap • FRANCE 24 English
it was a prisoner exchange that was said to be the largest of the war but that fell apart on saturday as russia and ukraine accused each other of thwarting the plan moscow first accused keefe of not turning up to collect the dead bodies of soldiers and postponing the date indefinitely for the exchange of prisoners of war we handed over a list of 640 names to the ukrainian side however they have so far refrained from setting a date for the return of these individuals and handing over to the russian side the corresponding number of russian military prisoners of war but kee says moscow is playing dirty games by not sticking to the agreed perimeters for the exchange another spanner in the works for peace talks between the two sides which has so far produced no significant breakthroughs the most recent direct talks took place in istanbul on monday with keie and moscow agreeing to release more than a thousand prisoners of war on each side including wounded soldiers and those under the age of 25 as well as returning the bodies of 12,000 soldiers from both camps it would have followed last month’s 10,000 swap that took place over 3 days that saw both ukrainian soldiers as well as civilians returning home saturday’s spad comes just hours after russia launched a massive aerial attack across ukraine heavily targeting the city of kharkiv
A large-scale prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine – the only concrete outcome of peace talks – was thrown into doubt Saturday after Moscow and Kyiv accused each other of delaying and thwarting the swap. At talks in Istanbul on Monday, Kyiv and Moscow agreed to release all wounded soldiers and those aged under 25 who had been captured – more than 1,000 people on each side.

Ukraine does not have 6000 dead Russian soldiers. Learn to be honest in your reporting
Russia now unmasking Ukraine war losses
Breaking news Russia never lies lol
Lie + Propaganda can’t change the truth,, Never Bring any peace,,,143 million Russian, European 741 million GDP bigger than 10 times,, Russian need EU as business partner not enemies ,,,Broken agreement 1991 Expanding NATO military from 13 to 32 states next to Russian doorstep cause of war in Ukraine,, Stay away from Ukraine for Peace 🙏
Ukraine cannot afford to acknowledge its war dead. And worse, it appears it no longer wants to. Acknowledging the dead means acknowledging the debt owed to their families. But by dragging its feet, questioning identities, and introducing delays, the Ukrainian state appears to be doing everything in its power to avoid honoring its obligations.
Russia brought out Truck loaded with 6k dead Ukrain soldiers, but Zelensky refused accepting them because of the money he's required to pay to the families of the dead
Very simple – Ukraine doesnt want to take the bodies, because they have to pay to the families. Also they will admit a very solid casualty number which is not in tone with Ukrainian regime propaganda
The whole world see what happens when russia attacks. It killes and accuses people it attacked. And lies, lies and lies.
Why these false headlines? As agreed in Istanbul, Russia brought the corpses of Ukrainian soldiers for exchange. Ukraine did not come and take the corpses. That's the whole truth. What else can be distorted here?
So far I have seen and heard more lies from Ukraine then Russia; I expect the same now. If you want to negotiate for peace ,better stop lying. I wonder if the Ukrainians learned lying from their western partners.
