Greta Thunberg claims she was “kidnapped” by Israeli forces while delivering aid to Gaza, sparking global outrage. Donald Trump reacts, mocking her anger and dismissing her claims, adding fuel to the controversy.

US President Donald Trump has responded to climate activist Greta Thunberg’s viral video in which she alleged being “kidnapped” by Israeli forces while attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The Swedish activist, known for her outspoken views, made these claims in a pre-recorded video released by her group.

In the video shared by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), Greta Thunberg stated: “My name is Greta Thunberg and I am from Sweden. If you see this video, we have been intercepted and kidnapped in international waters by the Israeli occupational forces, or forces that support Israel.”

The group was sailing towards Gaza in defiance of Israel’s naval blockade.

Trump Labels Greta Thunberg as “Angry”

Reacting to Thunberg’s remarks, Trump questioned the authenticity of her statement, saying, “Is that what she said? She was kidnapped by Israel?” He then criticized her emotional tone, adding, “She’s a young, angry person. I don’t know if it’s real anger, it’s hard to believe, actually.”

The former president continued his commentary, suggesting, “Anger management. I think she has to go to an angry management class. That’s my primary recommendation for her.” Trump also remarked, “Israel has enough problems without kidnapping Greta.”

Israeli Forces Intercept Humanitarian Ship

The vessel involved, named Madleen, is a British-flagged humanitarian ship operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. It was carrying 12 people, including Thunberg, and was reportedly trying to breach Israel’s blockade on Gaza. Israeli authorities seized the ship and transported it to an Israeli port.

Before the vessel was intercepted, the FFC posted Thunberg’s video on X (formerly Twitter), labeling the incident a “kidnapping” by Israeli authorities. They called on the global community to pressure their foreign ministries to act in defense of the volunteers’ safety.
