Swedish activist Greta Thunberg has been deported back to her native Sweden, a day after her “selfie yacht” aid ship was seized by Israel while on its way to Gaza after she “refused” to watch footage of the October 7 attack.

The Israel Foreign Ministry took to X to post photos of a sad-looking Thunberg aboard an airplane bound for her home country.

Thunberg and a dozen pro-Palestinian activists were detained after the ship, the Madleen, also known as the “selfie yacht,” was intercepted by Israeli forces.

In a video posted to the flotilla’s X account, Thunberg called the seizure a “kidnapping.”

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz demanded Thunberg and the detained activists watch footage of the October 7 Hamas attack that left 1,200 Israelis dead, which he said they refused to do.

“These antisemitic flotilla activists closed their eyes to the truth and once again proved they prefer the murderers over the victims,” Katz told The Jerusalem Post. “They continue to ignore the atrocities committed by Hamas against Jewish and Israeli women, the elderly, and children.”
