  1. Should have been composting human waste from the beginning. Centralizing this and using potable water on top of that are both critically dumb moves. I know poo and pee are icky but the real solution is turning waste into compost instead of a toxic problem. 

  2. They should be using sewage as the biomass for creating biochar.
