Also thinks like the “mafia” are only found in the south. But why should a yank understand the difference between northern and Southern Italy, when they don’t even know San Marino.
Speak for yourself! I come from fucking Piedmont, where taxes are high, the sky is gray, hospitals don’t work, and people are jerks. I live in Paris now, and the situation massively improved. I’m dead serious

I always thought it was mostly the south and Sicily that moved to America because they never liked Columbus. In Napoli, a lot of people are not so happy for Columbus, cause he was from Genova ☝️. The north of Italy always had the money and the power, they punish the south since 100s of years. Even today they put up their noses at the them like they’re peasants. They hate the north.
