Some pics from my trip to Hay-on-Wye, for the Hay Festival.

As always, listened to some great speakers (Tom Holland, Stephen Fry, Richard Dawkins), explored all the little book shops and retailers of ephemera and antiques.

One of my favourite places in the world.

You can read my little personal blog post about it here too: https://www.tomhannigan.co.uk/blog/25-years-at-the-hay-festival-the-centre-of-wales-literary-heart

  1. I always love the Hay Festival. My childhood was going to Hay to scrounge around for some secondhand books. I listened to Nick Harkaway (author of the latest John Le Carre novel) and he was amazing – so much more interesting that I expected going in

  2. Lovely photos Tom! I’m a huge fan of Hay too, and like you have been attending for around 25 years, back when it was still in the local school.

As an aside, the artwork at The Table was particularly unhinged this year, very freaky walking past it in the dark.
