It's on my apartment radiators. Is it a meter for my heating? If so how the hell it works, because it looks SO simple that is hard to imagine it's purpose.

  1. Yes, it’s a heating meter. In short, the measurement is based on the evaporation of a liquid inside; it’s read a bit like an old liquid thermometer.

  2. A measure tool of how many heat you use. Don’t dare to think about to remove it. It’s illegal to remove. Normally once a year comes a reading service who count the numbers and will eventually replace it when needed in the contract of your landlord. So again. Don’t touch it or try to manipulate it. You will get in some big trouble.
