  1. Russian jet violates Finnish airspace? Must be Tuesday.

  2. Kinda telling that I have to come to r/finland and read a Kyiv Independent -article to learn about this. This is pretty much non-news

  3. *waves at Finland from Scotland, also with a Russian in our airspace every other day…

  4. I get it why Kiev Independent writes about this. However, this is not really news for Finns as it is quite common.

Our F/A-18C hornets will fly out to intercept. Some international hand signals 🖕😎🖕 will be exchanged by the pilots of the two neighboring countries after which the lost and confused Russian jets will be escorted back to their side of the border.

  5. they can waste as much fuel as they want to serve as practice target for interception and identification

  6. And the Finnish pilot and groud crew gets a great training opportunity on a scramble. That’s all the Ruskies can do. Same as you showing the bird for someone in the traffic, in a way. They’ve done this forever and since it’s on the gulf, there isn’t really much more than to tell your displeasure to their ambassador.

  7. 5 russian special forces operatives would be pointless. Why would they send them to get caught? I mean, if it’s from a spot from which they could reach something to sabotage etc, it would be a heavily patrolled area. If not, they’d just be wandering in the northern woodlands. Literally no point to either.

  8. Ideally and logically “you’ll be shot down” warnings followed by locked tone will give insufferable ruzz a clear message but then again ruzz master in playing victim, and western politicians will do nothing more than verbal condemnations.

No wonder they keep pulling these stunts. Turks shot down their aircraft and ruzz respected it.

  9. So, Russia wants Finland to donate some money for long range Ukrainian drones. I see, I see.

  10. Considering how narrow the international flight corridor in the gulf of Finland is, it could easily be a radar error
