Krykant did a power of work for a community that a lot of us prefer to ignore, exposed himself to considerable risks to save lives and prevent harm. This is a real shame.
Oh Christ, I knew he’d been struggling, really hope he didn’t relapse again. Poor lad, did so much over the years for those suffering from addiction. RIP
Edit: one of his last tweets, he said he was begging outside St Pancras, and living off £150/fortnight. Hard times indeed.
A complicated guy.
He did a lot of great work, but having followed him on socials for quite a while, it’s been very apparent for a long time that he’s been in a very bad place – and unfortunately the ‘harm reduction’ messaging eventually morphed into something much less positive towards the end, with sadly inevitable results for him.
Thoughts are with his kids and family.
