  1. Rest in Peace to an all time great. His music will live on forever

  2. Absolute legend, a one-of-a-kind genius. *Pet Sounds* is maybe the best album of all time. Rest in peace, Brian! You are loved!

  3. He had health problems for many years. I hope he is at peace now.

  4. “Drove downtown in the rain

    Nine-thirty on a Tuesday night

Just to check out the late night

    Record shop”

  5. A true living legend. I absolutely loved The Beach Boys Love You (1977). It was basically a Brian Wilson solo album but its experimental work pushed music forward. The synthesizer work was one of the building blocks for the new wave genre that followed afterwards. RIP Brian Wilson.

  6. A true musical genius, and Brian Wilson’s genius lies not just in his technical skill, but in how he married innovation with raw emotional truth. He elevated pop into high art, creating music that still resonates with listeners and musicians alike.

  7. When people say he was an innovator, it’s not an exaggeration. I took a rock ‘n’ roll history class once and it’s incredible what he was able to create at the time with the Beach Boys.

  8. The earth will shake. Dude was like no other. Might as well be Paul McCartney

  9. “You know it’s gonna make it that much better
When we can say goodnight and stay together”

  10. Smile has one of the most fascinating stories behind it. RIP to a real musical titan.

  11. That’s sad. He used to live next to one of my family friends in Colorado, was super nice the time I met him.

  12. Go watch love and mercy. It’ll give you great insight to the life he had, the genius, the troubles, the struggle he had just to exist.

  13. Sly Stone and Brian Wilson in the same week. That’s rough.

  14. He was an absolute genius who was plagued by years of people who paled in comparison from his father who was jealous of his talent to a psychiatrist who took advantage of his fragility.

Can you imagine being the minds who produced stuff like *Pet Sounds* and having your own father shitting on you telling you and your brothers that you are nothings…..on tape in the studio? Murray was a petulant, egomaniacal, minimally talented dipshit who the brothers should have got together and kicked the shit out of the first time he opened his mouth.

I am glad he got out of the drug haze to see people and fans who really enjoyed his stuff toward the later years.

  15. Just heard over the radio and then they played a bunch of his songs… almost cried. Rest easy, legend

  16. At least he got to finish smile. Music wouldn’t be the same without him

  17. The Beach Boys were/are a legit musical group. I once thought they were kinda goofy and surf cultured.

Boy was I wrong. The Beatles heard pet sounds and delivered the classic Sgt peppers.

God speed Brian Wilson. God only knows what if be without you.

  18. I was lucky enough to see Brian Wilson twice, each show was absolutely breathtaking, the first time I saw him do God Only Knows with a full band, it’s sounded so good you can’t help but cry, truly a life changing musical experience, it’s like seeing a solar eclipse, your monkey brain gets overloaded and it’s like magic.

  19. Fuck. Seems like it’s been coming for a while unfortunately. Such a tragically sad life filled with genius musical creations.

  20. Brian was one of the best ever. I am so sad to learn of his passing. Love and Mercy

  21. I hope the demons that chased him for his entire life are left behind in the dust. I am grateful for everything he gave the world.

  22. God Only Knows is a top 5 song in the history of modern music. What a genius.
