  3. I really hope Gen Z finishes the Catholic Church in Ireland.

  5. 796 in 37 years is horrendous and for me stands out even more when you consider the size and population of Ireland.

  8. I think the grounds of every single Mother and baby home across the country needs to be excavated to uncover the real scale and horror of the monstrocities.

  9. I think of this all the time and it absolutely breaks my heart. Those poor women and babies. Opressed and abused by the church. Absolutely horrific. I hope the families get closure. I’m dreading the findings. The power the church had and the abuse people indured make me so ashamed of my country and religion. I was raised Catholic and went to mass every Sunday as a child. I will not be baptising my child.

  10. I need every member of the Catholic hierarchy who has tried to wriggle out of compensation payments to be held at the site until they change their minds.

  13. Catherine Corless is an absolute legend. Unbelievable woman. This whole situation is shocking and while I’m glad the excavation is happening, it’s taken far, far too long.
