The National Guard are all California residents. Trump must have been pissed off when they showed up and a lot of them are Hispanic.
This wasn’t the optics Trump wanted, so they’re stuck in storage and he’s getting some Marines sent in from 29 Palms. Most of those guys are from rural areas across America.
As a veteran and a former National Guardsman. This is not the atrocity you’re making it out to be. Sure to those of us that sleep in beds nightly and enjoy 3 hots a day this looks terrible.
But, I slept in the rain on top of a Humvee in the middle of deployment to avoid having to pack my shit up a hill after a 12 convoy. And eating MRE’s for days on end. It’s not a glamorous lifestyle.
Meanwhile, I do agree they shouldn’t be there in the first place and it is an over reach of the federal government stoking the flames to build an opposition he can smack down and put in place. Think Andor season 2.
Thankfully we cut so much cancer research, now we can afford to spend this money without borrowing money from China.

Plot twist, Most in National Guard look Hispanic and Ice picks them up deports them to meet their quota.
Gavin Newsom needs to send the taqueros over there to feed those guys.

And technically it is. We got a bunch of images of US soldiers just laying out on the floor I. saddam’s palaces during that initial push into iraq.
So it’s an easy shift to make because they have previous imagery to base it on.

Is anyone really shocked that it was so poorly managed, they just wanted them to go and beat down protestors so any logistics for sleep or food weren’t important. Similarly he didn’t have to feed his supporters when he directed them at the Capitol

The public always acts shocked when it’s reminded that a troop’s lodging is frequently the ground under his or her boots.
