Nobody actually believed Poland would do anything about this with the current idiots in charge. Solidarna figures (a hard-right junior coalition partner) staged a protest in Warsaw over coal issues (which barely scraped together 100 people) and also went to Jasna Góra to pray for a resolution to the dispute with Czech Republic (seriously, this actually happened). Also, her name is literally Anna Moscow. If course she wasn’t going to do anything useful for Poland – she’s obviously a Russian plant.
In all seriousness, fuck coal and jebać PiS.
Does that mean a carbon border tax between Poland and the rest of the single market? Poland keeps on behaving as if it was no longer an EU member.
I know only Polish sources on The case. So not The whole picture. Gov got an agreement with coal community do to speak to end coal till ’49. Then they signed an agreement to get it done in fourties (it was not clear to me whether they should end it in fourties od till 2040). There was some backslash from coal people (that would suggest The cop26 agreement was made to end coal till 2040?). And theres Moskwa lady. I am a bit confused. But on The other hand if we believe them at all, prime minister od The one we should be looking at, not newly appointed minister i guess
