Firefighters have evacuated residents from several homes in Lyttelton, near Christchurch tonight as a landslide threatens properties.
Fire and Emergency (FENZ) said the slip has come down behind one house and is threatening several others.
FENZ said everyone has been accounted for and three fire crews are working with a geo-technical engineer to assess the situation.
