China has reaffirmed its willingness to deepen cooperation with the European Central Bank (ECB) – particularly in reforming the international monetary system. At a meeting in Beijing, Premier Li Qiang told ECB President Christine Lagarde that „against a backdrop of growing resistance to globalization, only cooperation can bring mutual benefits. “ Both sides should promote open markets and strengthen multilateral coordination, Li said according to state broadcaster CCTV.
