Homeowner, 61, fears ‘microwaves’ from 5G mast erected outside his flat ‘could cause brain damage’ and claims it has knocked £10,000 off the value of his property

  1. Non. Ionising. Radiation. The sun (the thing in the sky and the shitrag) is a greater threat.

Complaints about aesthetics are subjective and, knowing personal experience, there is a planning period where objections can be lodged.

I didn’t object but someone near me did, unfortunately the mast could not be relocated for operational reasons and continuous coverage was needed for emergency services.

  2. Honestly I’d be pretty annoyed if a 5G mast was erected opposite my home – not because of any supposed health risk (I’m sitting about 2 feet away from my wifi router as I type this) but because they’re ugly AF.

  3. I’m sorry his view of the T-Junction has been ruined but they can’t condense the infrastructure into a single box and pole? It needs five stark white boxes and a mast?

  4. I guess he also thought that COVID is a myth and the vaccine is just a way for Bill Gates to install his microchips which once activated will allow him to mind control everybody?

  5. Of course the value’s gone down.

If there’s one thing people hate, it’s having good mobile phone signal. Who’d want to live there?

  6. Hmm he doesn’t sound like a sharp one, it’s the classic visible infrastructure problem: “put it somewhere else just not near my home”

It’s a flat, he’s not exactly selling it to downsize.

  7. Mate of mine works on 5g towers. He has stories that’ll make you laugh until you cry. This muppet is just the tip of the nutburg

  8. I braved the Heil and I came across this gem…

    >He said: ‘Someone said that a notice was put up on a lamppost but that’s no good. I’d see that from the window and think it was a poster for a lost cat or something.

    >’Unless you walk past there then you wouldn’t see it. I feel like they’ve just chucked it up. They know that everyone would have complained about it.’

Yes, okay love. Calm yourself to a mild froth. Why, oh why did I read that idiot’s whining and hear it in a Eurovision-style voiceover? Damn you, Antoine…

  9. Wait until he finds out that visible light carries about 10000 times as much energy as even the highest frequency 5G.

  10. Not clued up on valuations of houses, but surely it isn’t inconceivable that an eyesore would knock off some money when it came to the value of a house?

His claim about microwaves etc is a bit more tenuous. Certainly worthy of exploring *just in case*, but I’m pretty sure that the science is fairly well established on that now.
