I was surprised to see the SOP sticker on a random parking machine. SOP is essentially the Polish government service that protects political VIPs.

This does not seem like standard procedure since this was the only parking machine with such sticker. Also it doesn't seem like controlling the integrity of these machines falls under SOP's mandate. So what was it, just a fluke?

  2. Possibly a VIP was in the area and it was sweeped before to make sure the place is safe, including opening up the machine. The sticker shows it was checked and not opened again since then.

  3. I would assume they control places before some event/visit and mark checked places.

  4. Police checked and marked every street light, parking meter and everything that had any compartment where you could potentialy place explosives the day before each presidental candidate organised their marches of support. I belive it just stayed unopened since then.
