Talks with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov were the key event of the visit program. The parties acknowledged the high level of bilateral relations based on agreements between the leaders of the two countries.
The parties discussed trade and economic cooperation and high-level agreements in detail. Maksim Ryzhenkov emphasized Uzbekistan’s key role in the region and the potential to localize Belarusian production within the country.
The parties exchanged views on international and regional agendas, highlighting the importance of cooperation within the UN, CIS, and SCO, their similar approaches to shaping a multipolar world order, and the need for mutual support on international platforms.
During the talks, a schedule of events was agreed upon. It includes: the highest-level and high-level visits, a joint intergovernmental commission meeting on Belarus-Uzbekistan bilateral cooperation in Minsk, a Belarus-Uzbekistan educational forum in Tashkent, the 3rd inter-regional forum in Belarus, a tourism forum in Uzbekistan, and Days of Culture and Art in both countries.
