It’s beautiful and I’d like to know the location. Picture from the show Vera, s10 ep8 2/2.

  1. Marsden Grotto just south of South Shields and the river Tyne.

  2. Looks like a cold and grey version of the 12 Apostles in Victoria Australia 🙂

  3. The photographer is on the pub terrace of a historic, mostly underground pub called the Marsden Grotto which has its own lift from the clifftop to the beach

  4. Love the show, don’t remember that scene. Maybe I fell asleep.

  5. I’m surprised this is real. I need to go here when I go to England

  6. That’s Marsden Grotto, near South Shields in the Northeast of England

  7. Marsden rock on marsden beach photographed from the front of the pub Marsden Grotto

  8. It’s the Patio of Marsden Grotto. It’s a pub / restaurant/ hotel in my home town of South Shields. Definitely part of and not south of South Shields. It has a lot of history and has a beautiful inside built into the caves in the cliffs of Marsden Bay. I highly recommend everyone come visit us. Fantastic place and even better people.

  9. Why are they shaped like that? That doesn’t look like standard erosion, even wind and general exposure wouldn’t cause that.
