Ironheart will pit two powerful forces against one another, with Riri Williams finding herself caught in the middle.
A new promo for the Disney+ series revealed the hurdles Riri faces in her next adventure, including family drama and a dubious alliance with criminal investor Parker Robbins (i.e. The Hood) upon returning to Chicago. This results in a battle of what executive producer Brad Winderbaum dubbed “magic against technology, these two incredible forces go head-to-head,” with additional trailer clips showing Riri’s armor being infused with magical runes. Other scenes showed Robbins wileding the power of his mystical hood in battle, as well as Riri and her friends participating in some kind of dimensional spell.

Ironheart Confirmed to Take Place Days After This 3-Year-Old MCU Film With an 84% RT Score
Fresh details about the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series, Ironheart, emerge in a new featurette.
Following her Black Panther: Wakanda Forever debut — as well as headlining a dystopian What If…? season 3 episode — Ironheart marks Dominique Thorne’s return to the Marvel Cincematic Universe in its final Phase 5 release. The actress’ performance was regularly praised by cast and crew members throughout the video, with co-star Lyric Ross praising their chemistry together and Anthony Ramos claiming “That acting thing, she might as well put that in her back pocket. She got it.” Thorne also spoke about her love for the show’s fight scenes, with director Angela Barnes declaring the star as “tough as nails, man. I’ll be like ‘You got one more?’ And she’s like, ‘Oh yeah, I can do ten more of these things.'”
Riri Williams Returns in Ironheart
Amongst Ironheart’s executive producers is Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler, whose new vampire film Sinners has become the most successful original, non-IP film of the decade so far. In a prior interview, Coogler describe the series as a cross between the street-level nature of Netflix’s Daredevil — as well as its new Disney+ revival Daredevil: Born Again — and the fantastical elements of Doctor Strange and WandaVision, with Robbins’ Hood serving as a supernatural foil to Riri. Trailers also provided a look at Riri’s time at MIT following Wakanda Forever’s events, with Community’s Jim Rash returning as the college dean following his cameo in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.
