Can you all just stop mining coal, so that we are all even?
Terrible
Why? Without the the Turów comparison that would be a nice article, with the Turów comparison is seem like an Agenda.
Why don’t mentioned it was previous swedish owned? Czech company only recently bought it from Vattenfall. Also different companies, regions, governments etc. can have different interest.
Why is the area important when, especially regarding groundwater, depth is quite important too and Turów is one of the deepest lignite mines in the Region.
Also why not show that Turów(27,7 m. t) has more than double the production from Jänschwalde(13 m. t)
Also why don’t mentioned the end date of Turów mine at currently expected 2044.
Why don’t use it a example that this mine was shut for month, due to missing environmental assement.
Oh just keep the article short and said that lignite mining in Czechia, Germany and Poland is fucking the environement of the region.
It’s not “Czech” owned, it’s owned by Křetínský, who happens to be a Czech. 0% is owned by Czech state. Compared to Turow, which is operated by STATE owned PGE.
Beside, the Polish side had 20 years to solve Turow and they did nothing, because they though Czech side will do nothing. Stop blaming Czech Government for failures of Polish Government.
