Long story short, got this post card and at to bottom it says "Blackpool Bed" for children in Warsaw. I tried googling it and everything but nothing solid comes back. Do any of you know what it could be referring to?

  1. Sure, fuck. First your foreign leaders establish, completely submissive to Stalin, the eastern borders of Poland knowing that this means ethnic cleansing, repression and persecution, and then make postcards. If I was a Pole from Lviv/or Vilnius in 1945 and saw this postcard, I would probably hang myself from humiliation.

  2. Blackpool’s a city I think, so I’m guessing the “blackpool bed” is just a hospital bed and the funding for its “service”

  3. Not sure what’s the issue here? It was probably done by the people of Blackpool (where the RAF had a base and where many Polish soldiers trained) to support the Polish people in Poland. Blackpool bed refers to some sort of commemoration in the hospital (as in, the hospital bed funded by the Blackpool community)
