It is amusing to see Argentina cry so hard. They will literally never take the Falklands. It would be political suicide for any British politician to hand over the Falklands to Argentina. Not because the UK cares at all about the Falklands, but because Argentina ever dared to try and steal it.
Before the Falklands war, I’d bet 90% of the British population didn’t even know of their existence. Argentina’s folly only hurt them for perpetuity. Had they never invaded, the possibility of a diplomatic solution wouldn’t be impossible in current times.
But now the sovereignty of the Falklands will never be up for debate again.
