I never really intended to end up in Acton. 10 miles walking give or take. Got off at Lancaster gate, found the canal near paddington and just walked…

Bits of Acton were industrial but there was lots of good food on offer too.

We settled on Greek Grill https://maps.app.goo.gl/cEtMyoB5p9G9gAoP9 – they had three beasts on the rotisserie in the window, and it sounded like lots of returning locals.

  1. Ha, greek grill is my post workout ‘fuck it’ treat. They’re really lovely in there, and you can order a whole lamb for a wedding…

There’s actually quite a few really nice places to eat on that bit of road – I like the halal fancy brunch place down the road, they do some really interesting stuff.

  2. Reminds me of the time I randomly decided to walk back via the canal from St. Catherines Dock to Islington, to get a bus back to Camden, however I accidentally took the Limehouse Cut instead of the Regent’s Canal, basically doubling the distance. My sore feet!

  3. Malieu Cafe in Acton Vale serves a killer brunch, but when I tried there today (Saturday, actually) at 14:00, they informed me the wait was 1 hour so I passed.
